Two west Fort Worth businesses face robbers

Two robberies occurred within a couple of miles of one another this past Sunday and Monday.

Officers responded to a call from the Valero gas station at 9308 Clifford Street at approximately 8:22 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4. The employee on duty at Valero reported that a white male entered the store and asked permission to use the restroom. When he came out of the restroom, he grabbed assorted merchandise and approached the cash register. Once he was at the register, the suspect brandished a gun and demanded cash. The employee complied with the demand, and once he opened the cash register the suspect grabbed some cash and left the store. No injuries were reported.

No injuries were reported on Monday, Nov. 5 when officers were summoned to the CVS Pharmacy located at 9620 White Settlement Road at about 10:30 a.m. in reference to a robbery. In this case a white male suspect approached the register with two items for purchase, but then pulled up his shirt to reveal a handgun in his waistband and demanded cash. The CVS employee complied and the suspect left with an undetermined amount of money.
