A four vehicle wreck shut down most of Interstate 30 in far west Fort Worth on Monday. A male driver of a pickup truck involved in the wreck was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, according to Fort Worth officials. Both Fort Worth and Aledo emergency crews responded to the incident.
The crash occurred a little before noon on Monday, just past Linkcrest Drive near the I-20 and I-30 split and involved a cement truck that overturned and three pickup trucks. This stretch of I-30 is currently being resurfaced with lanes of traffic being reduced on a daily basis.
Westbound traffic was diverted onto the service road and eastbound traffic was down to one lane. Lane closures lasted into the afternoon.
