Flying through the air with the greatest of ease

Grayson Shipman, a soon to be 2nd grader at Blue Haze Elementary, enjoys his ride on the zipline.

Local kids participating in the YMCA summer day camp program had a blast this week gliding through the air on a 75-yard long zipline that stretched across Farmers Branch Creek near the White Settlement city complex. The line took the kids from ground level to nearly 33 feet high up.

The day camp is offered in coordination with the White Settlement Parks and Recreation Department. Campers participate in other activities such as fishing, canoeing, tennis, badmitton, archery, acting, field trips and movies.
