Spraying for Mosquitoes set for this weekend in White Settlement

The City of White Settlement will be spraying for mosquitoes starting on Sunday, Aug. 11, Monday, Aug. 12, and Tuesday, Aug. 13, starting at 9:30 p.m. each night. A news release says spraying will last approximately 1 ½ to 2 hours each night.

The city is spraying due to a positive lab test from mosquitoes trapped and tested through the Tarrant County Public Health Department for West Nile Virus. There has been no report of a human case of West Nile Virus in the city.

The press release stated that “The chemical used in spraying is reported to not be harmful to human life or animals.”

The streets and area that will be included in the spraying are as follows;

800 and 900 block of Crosby Ave.

600 through 1000 block of Bridle Ave.

500 through 900 block of Saddle Rd.

Lariat Lane

Foxfire Lane

8300 through 8500 block of Wilbur St.

8400 blk of Rockway

Quebec Dr.  (8400 through 8500 blk)

Vaquero St. (entire length of the street)

Hackamore St. (entire length of the street)

Clyde St. (entire length of the street)

Ronald St. (entire length of the street)

Renfro St.  (entire length of the street)

McCulley St. (entire length of the street)
