The playoffs typically get tougher the deeper in you go, but the Lady Bears found round two to be easy sailing as they cruised to a 2 games to 0 series victory over the Burleson Lady Elks.  After relying on pitching and defense to get through the tough first round, the Lady Bears once again discovered their power in round two, outscoring Burleson 20 to 5 over the two games.  The Lady Bears won game 1 by a score of 6 – 1 on Thursday night at Brewer, then went on the road to wallop Burleson 14 – 4 on Friday night.  Brewer’s senior pitcher Sarah Miller hit three home runs in the series, two of them on Friday.  Jordan Kisselburg and Shannon Rhodes also had home runs in Friday night’s contest.
