Plaza monument dedication for Fort Worth


The beautiful new John V. McMillan Plaza will be dedicated, and a 21-foot monument of Maj. Ripley Arnold, the founder of Fort Worth, will be unveiled at 10 a.m. June 6 on Panther Island, directly behind the TCC Trinity River Campus.

U.S. Rep. Kay Granger and Mayor Betsy Price will make comments. Presentations will be made by the Comanche Indians Veterans Association, Air National Guard Band and the NAS Fort Worth JRB Color Guard.

The public is invited and parking is available nearby at 395 Purcey Street.
