High schools have been renting TCU’s Daniel Meyer Coliseum for years because of its ability to host large crowds in an indoor climate.  In 2013 TCU notified districts that it would be renovating the facility and local schools scrambled to find an adequate facility for graduates and family members. For the first time since the new school was built, WSISD decided to host the graduating class of 2014 at the new Brewer Stadium. The stands were overflowing with family and friends as graduates sat in chairs on the track and administrators and trustees filled the stage. Nearly 400 students walked across the stage accepting their diploma.
