A 21-year-old pickup driver was killed last Wednesday night after he lost control of a truck and hit a guardrail on a west Fort Worth freeway, police reported.
Police say witnesses told them that the man was speeding and driving erratically going north on Loop 820 near Las Vegas Trail when his truck left the roadway, hit the guard rail and then flipped several times before coming to a stop in the middle median separating north and southbound lanes. The man was ejected from the pickup and was pronounced dead at the scene, reports said.
Fort Worth Fire Department units blocked traffic and assisted Fort Worth police with the investigation.
The man was identified as Willy Clemente, a 2012 graduate of the Aledo ISD, according to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s office.
