A winter storm brought record snowfall to many areas of North Texas on Wednesday night and Thursday morning, closing schools and forcing numerous flight cancellations at DFW International Airport.
As much as 7 inches of snow fell in Grapevine, while most areas saw at least 2 inches. DFW International Airport saw 3.5 inches of snow fall in the storm — the fourth highest total on record for the month of March. West Fort Worth from Lake Worth to White Settlement to Benbrook saw 2-5 inches of snow and sleet. Roads are expected to be hazardous for the next 24 hours.
