Join the Tarrant Regional Water District at Whoop on the Loop, celebrating the completion of the Marine Creek loop trail with a 1K fun run, 5K and ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m. March 21.

Dogs, strollers, walkers and runners are all welcome to experience the new six-mile loop trail around Marine Creek Lake. After your stroll or run, the kids can enjoy a bounce house and other activities while you check out the plans for the trailhead along the trail, scheduled to open this summer.

The celebration will be at 2700 N.W. Loop 820. The parking lot is on the southeast corner of Marine Creek Lake off the I-820 access road just west of Marine Creek Parkway (turn right at the blue TRWD sign located along the I-820 access road).

The new six-mile loop trail around Marine Creek Lake is a result of community requests for more recreation opportunities around the lake. The trail features beautiful views of Marine Creek Lake, seating, a picturesque boardwalk and pedestrian bridges.

More features are coming soon and will include a new trailhead with parking, restrooms, misters, water fountains, a boat dock, improved boat ramp and other amenities.
