Meeting set to discuss new attendance boundaries for students

White Settlement ISD adopted new Elementary Attendance Boundaries on March 2 to better meet the academic needs of its students as well as ensure that the district is prepared for student enrollment growth. The changes come after studying the district’s enrollment forecast; current school building capacity; and current and future new housing.

Parents impacted by the boundary change should receive a letter by mail in early March.

Students currently enrolled in pre-kindergarten through third grades will be grandfathered pending submittal and approval of a Parental Request to Transfer/Grandfathering Application.

The district invites elementary parents to an informational meeting from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 26 in the Brewer High School auditorium, 1025 W. Loop 820 North.

The meeting will provide information about how the new boundaries will impact current students; how it will impact Open Enrollment and Intra-District Transfers; and the grandfathering process.

The new boundaries and more information are available on the district’s website at<> Parents are encouraged to click on the School Site Locator link to determine if they are affected by the change.
