Workers tearing down an old building to make way for a new parking lot on Cherry Lane found a piece of local history last week.  Underneath the siding of the building were two signs advertising 3 H. Gro. & Cafe.  Carol Davis of the White Settlement Historical Museum got a chance to take a look at the signs before they were taken away from the site.  Davis said that she’s working to get more information on the site, reaching out to other local individuals with historical knowledge as well as checking archived newspapers to see if the business used to advertise.  She’s also put a note in an upcoming Brewer High School newsletter for old graduates, hoping someone from the 30’s or 40’s may remember the location and offer more information about it.
