Local ceremony honors, pays respects to military members

Members of the community along with City Officials, Military members and Veterans paid tribute on Monday to members of the armed forces who gave the ultimate sacrifice in providing our freedom. The ceremony was held at Veterans Park at 9 a.m.

White Settlement Mayor Ron White led the ceremony that included prayers and comments from Pastor Robyn Smith of Fort Worth Baptist Temple, Doug Nunley of VFW Post 5617, Commander Gabe T. Turcsanski, Executive officer of NAS Fort Worth JRB, Don Bogan, VFW 5617 Post Chaplain. The Honor Guard from NAS Fort Worth JRB presented the colors.
