A crack in breakfast hours

Whataburger is temporarily cutting its well-known 11pm-11am breakfast hours due to a nationwide egg shortage.
The new hours are from 5 a.m. to 9 a.m. on weekdays and from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. on weekends.
In a press release, the company says the change is necessary “so the restaurants can concentrate the limited supply during peak breakfast hours, while supplies last.”
Whataburger says they are looking for other egg suppliers and hope to return to the normal breakfast hours soon, but there is no timetable on when the usual hours will return.
According to the USDA, the avian flu outbreak has affected 44.6 million birds since December, many of which are laying hens.
