Donuts have customers drooling

Krispy Kreme Doughnuts’ light is on, and they are continuing their march West with a new store in Westworth Village. Located at 6700 Westworth Blvd. in the Shoppes at Hawks Creek, the newest launch will be the first store in Fort Worth since the location on South Hulen closed back in 2010.
Krispy Kreme, which began in Winston-Salem, North Carolina in 1937, has vintage appeal. Patrons love the glass enclosed donut shop, where you get to glimpse down the automated process as your donut runs the gauntlet from fryer to flipper and on to its decadent icing bath. Krispy Kreme even launched their own signature coffee blends in 2011.
Some will, no doubt, be camping out in hopes of winning free doughnuts for a year. The first 100 guests who are registered in line, outside the store, and comply with the rules, will receive a punch card for free doughnuts for one year – which entitles them to one dozen Original Glazed Doughnuts each month for one year. See the website for the elaborate list of rules before you take your place in line.

Also opening in the same area of town this Fall is Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers.
