Texas cowboys drove a herd of cattle around Ridgmar Mall this week to kick off The Salvation Army’s Red Kettle drive in Fort Worth. The Red Kettle drive is a well-known holiday campaign that features volunteers who ring bells to solicit donations. The fundraiser goes through Christmas Eve, and the funds help support local programs.
The Salvation Army also invites you to join in supporting the Salvation Army Angel Tree program this year. The Salvation Army will strive to collect approximately 300,000 donated Christmas gifts to distribute to an estimated 58,000 individuals. This includes children, special care individuals, senior citizens, veterans and disabled adults of any age who could miss out on the joy of Christmas.
