The White Settlement City Council has called a special meeting for this Thursday, July 28 at 6 p.m. to discuss and consider the proposed tax rate for 2016-17.
“This meeting is not to adopt the tax rate,” according to a press release sent by A.C. Hall, Media Manager for the City of White Settlement. “This meeting is to take the record vote which means council will vote for the rate to not exceed. This will allow city staff to move forward with calculations on the budget.”
The scheduling of two public hearings on the proposed tax rate are also on the agenda and are set for Aug. 16 and Aug. 30.
The public hearing for the City’s Operating Budget, EDC Budget and CCPD Budget is on the agenda to be set for Sept. 13.
More information on budget workshops will be published as it is made available.
