Electrical lines relocation delays Chapel Creek Bridge project

Electrical lines that are located over Interstate 30 at the Chapel Creek Bridge need to be relocated before the bridge project can get underway.
Oncor crews are working on the power line relocation. However, the Texas Department of Transportation has delayed the contractor bid opening until November 2016. That means construction is now anticipated to begin February 2017.
The existing two-lane bridge will be replaced with a new six-lane bridge over I-30. A turnaround bridge will also be constructed on the east side of the new bridge.
