Heim Barbecue buys Soda Springs BBQ, will use facility for parties and catering

Kacy, Scott and Brenda Lewis served up delicious smoked hams and turkeys during the holidays.

Soda Springs Bar-B-Q, a 32-year landmark has been sold to Heim Barbecue, according to owner Brenda Lewis, widow of Soda Springs founder Scott “Red Wheeler” Lewis.

On a facebook post, Heim Barbecue stated that it will use the building for a party and catering facility. For now, there are not plans to open it as a restaurant.

Soda Springs opened in 1985 when there were few other restaurants for workers near the Lockheed Martin Aeronautics assembly plant.
